A lot of complaints can be prevented by simply becoming more aware of our posture and the way we move. Just as habits and patterns can be broken, we can reshape our daily posture and movements (which we unconsciously developed) by practicing yoga. This, however, is a process that takes time. First we need to become aware of our movement habits to then understand how to reshape those habits to prevent future damage to our body.
A body free from tension allows for a calmer mind and vice versa. Through yoga and focusing on our breath we can also gain an awareness of the mind and its thoughts (note how these thoughts are not your thoughts). You will experience how different postures trigger different responses of the mind. Some can trigger happy thoughts, others rather negative. Through Mindful Hatha Yoga we can learn how to cope with and reshape negative responses of the mind, a resourceful skill we can use in daily life. Moreover, Siska blends in unique Thai massage elements such as Thai massage pressure techniques and partner exercises to help us deepen our stretches and twists.
